I don’t just train dogs. I build capability.

For more than two decades, my work has revolved around one question: What makes a dog and handler truly reliable when it matters?

My path has taken me from international competition and a World Championship title to working with dogs of very different characters, disciplines and purposes. Along the way, physiotherapy and the study of behaviour added another layer: understanding how body, mind and relationship shape performance.

Legendary Dogs grew from everything those years taught me.

I believe in understanding the individual — but I believe just as strongly in doing the work. Training should create confidence, capability and a partnership that doesn’t only look impressive today, but remains strong for a lifetime.

Built through experience.

I didn’t arrive at this philosophy through theory alone. It was built over years of training, competing, teaching and working with dogs that constantly challenged me to become a better trainer.

My path has taken me through different areas of dog training — from international competition and World Championship success to working with dogs of very different characters, disciplines and purposes. Every one of them added another piece to the picture: precision, motivation, pressure, trust, responsibility and the importance of knowing when to adapt.

Alongside dogs, working with horses and studying physiotherapy broadened my understanding of training even further — particularly the connection between body, mind and performance.

Some experiences came from outside dog training as well. Working as a police translator and private investigator exposed me to very different people, situations and perspectives — experiences that inevitably influenced the way I communicate, observe and work today.

All of these experiences ultimately led me back to the same place: the dog in front of me. To see the individual clearly, understand what is actually happening, and then have the knowledge and skill to act.

That experience became the foundation of Legendary Dogs: understand deeply, train deliberately, and build something that lasts.

The dog who changed everything.

Jáck was much more than my competition dog. Of all the dogs who have taught me something over the years, he was the one who left the deepest mark.

Together, we spent years competing in Mondioring, often travelling to Belgium because the sport barely existed in our part of Europe at the time. We competed almost every weekend and were never placed lower than third — most often, we won. Those journeys brought not only success, but friendships that remain part of my life today.

But his greatest achievement was never a podium.

Jáck came with me to university while I studied Canine Science at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. He trained, travelled, worked and competed at the highest level — and then came home and was simply my dog and my best friend.

To me, he embodied something I still believe deeply today: a working dog should never have to choose between being capable and being a companion.

Jáck was both.

I lost him far too early to an illness following a tick bite. But much of what he taught me stayed — and became part of what Legendary Dogs stands for today.

This is what I build today.

Legendary Dogs is where all of those experiences come together.

Today, my work is about helping dogs and handlers develop real capability — through training, education, seminars and a deeper understanding of the individual dog in front of us.

The goal is not simply better performance. It is to build dogs that can think, work and remain reliable in real life, and handlers who understand not only what to do, but why they are doing it.

Some partnerships are built for sport. Others for work or everyday life. Many cross those boundaries completely. The principles remain the same.

Understand the dog. Do the work. Build for a lifetime.

You don’t need to walk the same path to learn from it.

Years of training, competing, studying, questioning, evolving and adapting the system have shaped the way I work today.

The Legendary Dogs Academy was created to pass that knowledge forward — not as a collection of exercises to copy, but as a system that helps you understand what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to adapt it to the dog in front of you.

Because the goal is not to train like me.

The goal is to become the trainer your dog needs.
